Who is Behind Funeral Advisor?

Funeral Advisor was imagined as a consumer-first resource focusing on connecting Canadian families with valuable information, tips, news and guidance when it comes to all things death care. This mission is one that is brought to you by the Funeral Service Association of Canada that brings together over 700 funeral businesses and thousands of Canadian funeral professionals from each province and territory. The goal of Funeral Advisor is to serve as a reliable source, constantly making relevant information available to the public. By also bringing together leaders in the tech industry, government bodies and non-for profit organizations, Funeral Advisor has no bias and was made by Canadians, for Canadians - especially those in times of grief and great need.

The Funeral Service Association of Canada

The Funeral Service Association of Canada (FSAC) is the leading national funeral service association that represents funeral homes, cemeteries, crematoriums, bereavement sector suppliers and other funeral service professionals. Together, members of this organization account for 85% of all death care provided to Canadians each year. FSAC's Board of Directors envisioned Funeral Advisor as a way to provide Canadians with more helpful information. In addition, the board wanted to break down the barrier between funeral providers and consumers.

Canadian Funeral Professionals

With the knowledge and input of over 1000 funeral professionals from ocean to ocean, Funeral Advisor serves as a voice for an entire industry. This is achieved by bringing together all of FSAC's over 700 member funeral businesses, leading technology providers to identify and answer key death care questions. We want to together bust death care myths, provide accurate and up-to-date information, and help Canadian families become more aware of the death care options available to them.
